The Perfection of Imperfect

The world in which we live is a creation of God and so nothing out here can ever be imperfect. God our heavenly father has created the world and takes full care to protect, love and guide us. Everything is unique and holds a special value in its place.

Let me tell you a story about the perfection in imperfect----

Once a water bearer had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a rod that he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the crack arrived only half full. This continued for two years daily, and the bearer could deliver only one and a half pots full of water to his house.

At this, the perfect pot became proud of its accomplishments. And the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its imperfection. It was miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of its duties.

One day as the water bearer took both the pots to the stream, the imperfect pot sadly spoke, "I am ashamed of myself and I want to apologize to you. I have been able to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all the work and you don't get full value from your efforts".

At this the bearer gave an amazing reply, "Did you notice that there were flowers on your side of the path but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path. Every day while I walk back, you have watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house!"

An intelligent person, always allocates a huge possibility in what the world calls 'imperfect' and such a person shifts imperfection to a perfect side just like the water bearer who had planted flower seeds on the side of that imperfect pot.

Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections.

This story is concrete proof of the fact that imperfection is something that waters the seed of perfection from where bloom the flowers of success in the flow of time. We should therefore carefully watch our flaws, instead of blaming them endlessly, for it is from that a beautiful tomorrow rises.

One can change one's curse into a blessing by not losing courage and hope but by trying to overcome the shortcomings.

We should treat everything with full respect because at times what according to us is imperfect turns out to be far better than the perfect.

Best Wishes,

Mohini Gulati😊
